"Sea-side Holiday II"

JP, Elizabeth, Bennett & Eliot came down for a visit this weekend. Naomi & Claudia came down, too! The weather was perfect yesterday for a day hike, walk along the beach and just plain goofing off. Everyone came over for brunch, including two friends in Seward - Caroline & Russ.

No pictures because Dave ran off with my camera - Josh & Lincoln are down visiting and on a mission for a couple supple spring bears.

Here's a picture from 4 years ago:
Dan was working on his master's, Emma was just a pup. :)

We went on a day hike towards Caines Head. Awesome day.

Trout Lake Ski Trip march 2006

Dave and I went on a 4 night ski trip on the Resurrection Trail in the Chugach Mountains. We stayed at the Trout Lake Cabin and went for day skis from there. Dan, Adrian, Caroline, Ann & Ann (dogs = Inai, Cody and Emma) joined us for part of the time. Weather was great - ranging from fresh snow to fantastic Spring sunshine!!

Ski for Women 2006

This is the largest women-only ski event in North America, drawing more than 1,500 women of all ages and skiing abilities. Proceeds benefited the Abused Women's Aid in Crisis (AWAIC) program in Anchorage.

I joined Heather and her basketball team in the event. We were Team Mt. Augustine. (The volcano that caused all sorts of problems). I think we made a short clip in the evening news.

Heather and her partner, Paul, paper mache'd all the volacano hats - they even tested them with dry ice in the opening of the volcano but decided it was a bad idea. We ended up using incense cones for the 'steaming' part of the costume - I think we ended up gassing out the skiers behind us.. oops.

PSG 2006 ski race attendees - these were the original positions for the volcanos....
