Sledding gets Porter REALLY excited

Snow fell in the Boulder area this week and we went sledding on some small hills on Xmas Eve.

Pre-sledding dog/human yogaPorter got really excited about the sledding.
In particular, he was really excited about Dave.

what a goof ball

I think we wore him out enough that he was too tired to resist when Sam & Kristina buried him in snow

The best run was Dave going down face first and Porter jumping on him to hitch a ride.
Imagine a 100+lb chocolate lab jumping on your back and simultaneously humping you while sledding. Funny for those of us watching!!

went for a walk

some overflow on the trail
while everyone else hit the slopes, Dave & I went XC skiing
reminded us of Alaska except for 1 minor difference:
we were at 11,000 ft and sucking wind!

Eat. Eat. and EAT some more!

Dinner at my parent's house last week - the pot lucks are just as amazing as they were when I was a kid.MORE cookie making!! Sam assisting Kristina making homemade oreos.
The filling consists of cream and white chocolate.
Food coma with Porter

Kristina explaining to Porter that oreos are NOT for puppies.
I don't think he believes her.

Dave: I want cookies
Me: You know I don't bake. I'll ask Kristina. What kind of cookies do you want?
Dave: Hannukah cookies
Me/Kristina: Um...what are Hannukah cookies?
Dave: Cookies shaped in the Star of David with blue stripes. and white icing. please.
Me/Kristina: OK.....

Here's what's waiting for him when he gets here tonight! Thanks Kristina!
We were shocked that Peppercorn didn't have a 6-pointed star cookie cutter. Found one at Mcguckin's! They have EVERYTHING!
