Walking toward the future
Leo took two small wobbly steps on Friday, a few more here and there this weekend. On Monday afternoon he started to really make progress. He has been free standing a lot more in the past couple weeks but I didn't think walking would progress so quickly (Yes, Adrian, you called it!). You can tell that he is so proud of himself, grinning from ear to ear as he takes his steps and we are proud of him, too. But I was surprised to find myself also feeling a little sad. Baby Leo has transformed into Toddler Leo. In an instant, I saw his childhood flash before my eyes and now I'm digging my heels into the ground, trying to slow down time. And I'm also feeling guilty for wishing time to go by faster during those months of sleep deprivation. Lesson learned: enjoy these moments before they disappear. Life is too short.

April
April brings snow and more snow and a grumpy Shiway. It did warm up a little at the beginning of April but this feels like the winter that never ends. It has to end, right??? I've tried so hard to be positive but it is MAY. Anyways, here's some photos of Leo from last month.

Angel Creek Cabin
I was 8 months pregnant when we skied out to this cabin last year. Now our outside baby is almost a year old! It was a quick overnight trip. Note to self: next time go for more than 2 nights. It's amazing how much time and effort went to into packing. Boy, we had a lot of STUFF. The weather was wonderful - warm and sunny. And we had the company of good friends. I'm ready for the snow to melt now!
