Mt. Marathon - Summit!

Dave finished the apartment remodel and finally, a weekend that I'm around.
We took a break from wedding planning craziness and hiked up to the top of Mt. Marathon.
Mt. Marathon is best known for it's July 4th race to the top. It's a steep ascent/descent, 3,000+ feet in elevation. We're not crazy enough to run it to the top (although, we know some of you are!!). We took our time, mostly because I still have my sea legs from being on the boat for 9 days and feeling a little winded from not working out for almost 2 weeks.

you can see the Gulf of Alaska from up there!

I like the picture of the three of you...because it's definitely "aww", and because Emma is shaking her head so her face looks completely messed up! :)
