Modesto

We went to Modesto and had a nice visit with Aunt Elaine & Lauren. Uncle Bob was able to sneak away in between performing surgeries and visit us while we were having lunch! It was wonderful to see them. I forgot to bring my camera, so unfortunately I don't have any pictures - their house is gorgeous! On the car ride back I remembered we had our cell phones and took a few photos from the car:

The last time I was in Modesto was back in 2001(?). I came down to CA for a road trip to check out graduate schools and also to visit friends. My friend Jason, who I've known since 4th grade, was living there at the time and working for Gallo. And now he & his wife and daughter are living in Orinda which is not very far away from where Dave's family lives but unfortunately we won't have enough time this trip to visit them. Next time!!!

That evening we went over to Kevin & Aneldy's (which is conveniently just down the street from my mother-in-law's) and played some games on their Wii. And then we met up with Mike and had some yummy Indian food in Berkeley.
