Lost Lake Breath of Life Run

~15.75 miles, cross-country, peak elevation is 2,100 feet, using USFS Trail through Lost Lake, Chugach National Park, ending at Bear Creek Fire Department Parking Lot. This race raises money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The entry fee is the steepest I've ever seen ($100 - $300 depending on how early you register) but it goes to a good cause and I feel lucky to have been able to participate with my friends. My time was 3:08 which I'm very happy with. I ran most of it.... My strategy was to fast hike the hills at the beginning so I had enough left to run the rest. Seemed to work - the down hills felt really good. Gorgeous day - sunny but not too hot with a cool breeze. Everyone did really well!

750 people registered (included walkers)
part of the gang: John, Amber, Jeanette, Mandy, me, Linnea, Rebekka

Tasha, Sara & me

I carried my point & shoot during the race but I didn't want to stop and take pictures so most of them are blurry
