On my way down to Seward, I stopped in Anchorage to spend time with Heather, Paul, Coal and Teal. Coal has been learning important names, such as mama and papa's names. In response to 'Where do you live?', he replied very enthusiastically, 'I live in Africa!!!!'. Hopefully he never gets lost and sent to Africa.

I can't believe this guy ran the race in a gumby outfit. And I'm pretty sure his time was a lot faster than mine!

This is Fred Moore. This year was his 42nd year. He ran it in 1:09:45. Amazing.
I had a good race. My endurance improved from last year. But my time didn't. HAH. I didn't stop at all like I did last year but when I got to the top, I decided to have fun going down and not go all out which probably slowed me down. But I wanted to enjoy the descent because I love it so much - feels like flying. One of the Mountain Turtles passed me on the way up - she is almost twice my age! It was a very humbling experience. What an inspiration. I will mention that I passed her on the way down.

Baby Grace. Beaté had her in March and ran the race in a respectable time!

I had a great trip! Wonderful to see everyone. I even got some work done, too! I'm not sure if I can continue to participate in Mt. Marathon for the next 7 years in order to get grandfathered in but I'll try! Missing the ocean and mountains in south central AK.
