Seward in September

We spent 2 weeks in Seward: 1 week attending the 4th International Sea Duck Conference, then Dave spent sometime goat hunting (no goat) while I continued studying for my qualifying exams, and then attended Ann and Ron's wedding! It was great to see old friends and celebrate Ann & Ron's marriage. And what a gorgeous time of year for a road trip, colors were peaking on our way down to Seward.

Mt. Alice. Dave & Jared went goat hunting up there one day. Saw some goats and a black bear.

Mt. Marathon
It rained most of the time we were down there but the showers held off for the wedding and Ann & Ron were able to have their ceremony on the beach! Congratulations you two!

Yes, there are goats up in those mountains
The drive home was long but breathtaking. Denali was out. I love this time of year. I wish it lasted a lot longer up here.

By the time we got home all the leaves on the trees were on the ground. Slightly disappointing and a bit of a shock. I need more time before we transition into winter!!
