We finally made it out to Northwestern Fjords & Aialik Bay to run our transects. The seas on the way out were a little rough. Not so fun but the destination was worth it. Although, during the ride, I did want someone to put me out of my misery. Being seasick is the worst; I feel like I'm dying. Anyways... here are some pics from our first field trip of the season.

The National Park Service boat, the Serac, was our support vessel this trip.
The crew consisted of Fred (captain), Elsie (chef), Dan (skiff driver). Dan also provided another set of eyes to ID/spot birds on our transects. GREAT crew.

hooray for SUN!
it actually didn't RAIN on Sunday, it pissed rain the entire time except for Sunday
