Rebecca's Visit

Our good friend Rebecca came down from Fairbanks to visit this week. And also to make our wedding cake! The weather has been spectacular all week.

Well, in the sun anyways. There's a trail that leads up to the Harding Ice Field for even more specatuclar views.

Bjarke & Emma at Afognak Beach.

Bjarke decided to sit on my lap and Emma wasn't sure about how she felt about that.

Rebecca made a yellow lemon cake with raspberry jam filling, lemon butter cream filling and white frosting. 3 layers of cake. 4 tiers of cake.
How many lemons does it take to make such a cake? a lot.
and 5+ lbs of butter and 45 eggs.

The challenge will be to keep from eating the cake before the wedding.
Good thing there are some scraps we can satiated ourselves with until then!
