We just moved into our new house in Fairbanks and we're expecting a little visitor this spring. We have less than 12 weeks before the due date and lots of preparation left to do. So it seemed like a good time to go to Maui for a vacation before baby comes. A much needed break from the -40F and below temps we've been experiencing in Fairbanks this winter.

So far, my pregnancy has been text book. 1st trimester was filled with nausea, fatigue. My energy came back during the 2nd trimester and so did my appetite. As I enter my 3rd trimester, I'm carrying an extra 25lbs already and finding myself moving a little slower, a little more uncomfortable than before, and tiring easily again.
Baby is a squirmer. The entire process has been amazing so far. Human reproduction is just amazing. Every time I feel him kick, squirm, it brings a smile to my face - sometimes I even laugh out loud. How is it possible to be so in love with this little being that we haven't even met yet?
We are really excited to start this new chapter in our lives and can't wait to meet our little one. What will he look like? What traits will he inherit from us? And we're trying to get as much sleep as possible because we hear that we won't get much for years to come.

Congrats guys!!! So exciting! All that time spent reading 'what to expect when expecting' has paid off in the end, haha. I can't wait to see photos of the little guy, once he's all cleaned off, that is :)
