Did you notice the dipnet on top of the car in the last post? On our way home from Homer, we stopped off at Kasilof to try to get some more salmon. It's a whole different scene compared to Chitina, and even fishing from the zodiac on the Kenai.

people come up with all sorts of ways to extend the length of their handles and keep their nets upright. we've even heard of people wearing dry suits and floating down the river!

Dave got 1 fish. And after a couple more hours of waiting, we finally convinced him to give up.

Emma having fun with a 9 year old.
Although it's not much different from hanging out with us.

Dave teaching Tessa how to fillet a fish

The next day they checked out the sled dogs and went berry picking. Dave forgot to bring the camera. Not sure why Tessa's making a stink face! I'm sure it's because Dave said something that grossed us out. :)
